Social Content Networks: Document Management Is Growing Up
Document management has long been a static and content-focused technology. In the past, when companies wanted to move away from email as the primary way to share documents, the options were limited and often required heavy IT resources and offered very little flexibility. Times have changed, however. As business ecosystems have become more and more distributed, and as salespeople are traveling less, having a way to securely collaborate around important documents has gone from being a "Nice-to-have" to a necessity.
