Softbank Virtualizes Its Storage Environment to Achieve Low Operating Cost

Softbank Telecom wishes to lower the cost of its installed Storage Area Network (SAN) that consists of multivendor servers and storage facilities. Softbank installed an IBM System Storage SAN Volume Controller (SVC). The SVC's disk virtualization capabilities help Softbank integrate and manage multivendor storage devices in a complex SAN environment.
