State-Space Approaches for Modelling Reduction of Pilot Symbol Assisted Modulation and their Impact on the Channel Estimation
Source: Academy & Industry Research Collaboration Center
This paper outlines the use of a balance truncation algorithm to design low order Infinite Impulse Response (IIR) interpolator for pilot symbol assisted modulation. A state space model is developed to optimize filter coefficients. The proposed design for the filter has a frequency response is quite stable. This approach is highly beneficial for systems employing fading channel estimation. A comparison is given for the achieved results to that with ideal case. In a world of dramatic changing technology, people need more and more requirements to communicate and get connected with each other and facilitate their life.
