Structural Repair Manual: Allowable Damage Analysis for Stringers for a Global Aerospace Industry

The customer, one of the top three companies in aerospace industry, is the world's leading manufacturer of business and regional aircrafts. The customer's requirements included: Generate allowable damage reports in Web and flange simultaneously and Design fuselage stringers, considering various types of damages such as cracks on edge of elements, scratches, nicks, gouges and corrosion. Mahindra Satyam provided aircraft assembly and installation drawings, material details, FEM internal loads and reference report for input. Various damage scenarios were studied and conventional stress analysis of fuselage stringers was carried out. SRM-Allowable damage report was delivered to the customer.
