Students Acquire Real-World Skills When University Partners With Business Consultant
Multimedia and Communication Technology is a popular degree at Howest University College in West Flanders, Belgium. The students studying this degree work with innovative and graphically appealing programming and design technology. Instructors struggled to find a way to interest them in business processes, even though many students will need this knowledge when they leave university. So Howest put together a short class using the business management solution, Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0, but it needed to be more engaging. Professors collaborated with Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and Microsoft Dynamics specialist Qurius to develop a new curriculum that put business enterprise solutions into context. The resulting class combined theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience, allowing students to build real solutions and present them to members of the business community.
