The Las Vegas Valley Water District is a not-for-profit agency that provides water to Las Vegas and nearby communities. The company's challenge was to replicate production database for use by multiple development groups to improve storage utilization and management. They wanted to reduce datacenter power, cooling and space requirements and optimize efficiency and performance of PeopleSoft and VMware environments. The district deployed Sun servers and storage technology to improve the efficiency and performance of its replicated Oracle database, VMware and PeopleSoft environments.
