Sun Servers and Storage Support International Growth of French Geolocation Market Leader

Based in Paris, France and founded in 2003, Deveryware has deployed a range of technologies that support geolocation services. The challenge was to reduce energy consumption of database hardware and avoid cost incurred by acquiring additional rack. Deveryware has replaced its existing HP hardware with a combination of Sun Fire servers and Sun StorageTek arrays. The equipment is divided equally between two datacenters run by different hosting organizations. The datacenters are synchronized so that if one experiences difficulties, the other can take over immediately.
