Sun Unified Storage and VMware Helps Publishing Company Reduce Costs and Increase Availability of Customer Content

Elanders wanted to increase availability of company-wide data and improve speed of data access. The challenge was to reduce cost of administration and system management and reduce power consumption. Sun partner Konsulthuset MMI deployed a high-performance Hybrid Storage Pool (solid-state and traditional disk) solution based on a Sun Unified Storage System at Elanders main office and at two remote sites to work with the company's virtualized environment. The company's IT team also uses Sun DTrace Analytics for real-time analysis of the solution.
