Techem Builds Scalable, Tough Business Solution Based on Linux on POWER With SAP and IBM

Growing fast organically and by acquisition, energy specialist Techem wished to integrate business systems rapidly and effectively. Existing servers supporting SAP software had reached capacity and needed replacing, and plans for new SAP applications were restricted. Techem wanted a scalable, flexible server and operating system landscape to support its expansion plans, secure data and protect against disaster. The company Implemented new SAP software on IBM System p servers running SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, using IBM virtualization to share workload efficiently and reduce software license fees. IBM deployed EMC High End Storage Technologies and a range of IBM Tivoli software for a complete, high-resilience business solution.
