Technology Company Achieves RISC-to-Intel X86 Migration

EMC Corporation, the leading supplier of information infrastructure technology. In subsequent years, EMC's business grew, and the number of transactions processed by these systems had risen exponentially. EMC existing server infrastructure was at capacity and end of life, with poor performance hampered user productivity and EMC had no clear path to cloud computing. EMC chose cisco to overcome these challenges. They deployed Cisco Unified Computing System B440 powered by Intel Xeon Processors, Cisco Unified Computing Services and Cisco Technical Services. The results improved application response and batch run-times by up to 20 times, greatly simplified management and improved provisioning productivity and significantly lowered costs and complexity while increasing scalability and flexibility.
