Telenet Meets Growing Customer Demand for Digital Television Service With Highly Scalable IT Platform

Telenet wanted to meet the growing demand for digital television services and provide a new core server platform for digital television services to support the company's elevated growth rate and provide the scalability necessary for mission-critical applications. The challenge was to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability to successfully deliver Telnet's digital television services to its customers. Telenet worked with Oracle Consulting to implement Oracle Real Application Clusters and Oracle Coherence Grid Edition as a core server platform and enabled the company to offer a wide range of applications on its customers' equipment, including monitoring, rating, video on demand, electronic program guide, and broadcast applications.
