The BlackBerry 8820 Smartphone: A Converged Wi-Fi and Cellular Device

In the years since its launch, the BlackBerry Enterprise Solution has proven itself to be an end-to-end cellular solution for the enterprise mobile user. Now, with the introduction of the BlackBerry 8820 smartphone, organizations can leverage its capabilities, superb usability and centralized management over 802.11 a/b/g Wireless LAN (WLAN) networks in addition to cellular networks. This paper provides an overview of BlackBerry platform functionality and a discussion of WLAN support and security features.
