The Effect of Spatial Diversity in MIMO System With Multiuser Diversity Scheduler
Source: Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers
In multiuser MIMO system with MUltiuser Diversity (MUDiv) scheduler, spatial diversity plays a role to affect the scheduling gain. In order to investigate this phenomenon, the authors derive a new asymptotic capacity and an outage capacity of multiuser MIMO system with MUDiv scheduler using the extreme value theory. From the authors' analysis, they define MUDiv gain by scheduling, and investigate the relationship between the spatial diversity and MUDiv. As a result, they find that the average capacity in multiuser MIMO system with MUDiv scheduler doesn't increase linearly with the minimum number of antennas at high Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR).
