The Research on Power SCADA Based on J2EE Framework and IEC 61970

In this paper, the problems exposed by the third generation of SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) based on the POSIX (Portable Operating System Interface of UniX) standards for UNIX systems are analyzed. Then it makes a brief description of the advantages of the new generation power SCADA system based on the J2EE (Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition) framework by using open architecture and object-oriented technologies. The integration bus characterized by standardization and component-based is one the key technologies in implementing this new SCADA system which is based on IEC (International Electrical Commission) 61970.
