This paper will review the defining characteristics of Services-Powered Businesses and will discuss the requirements of those best equipped to deliver the benefits. For many years now businesses have used bandwidth, technology, information and the services of many people to achieve business goals. In the early 1990s, the cost of networks and information were high relative to the cost of the people to service the business. Over the past decade, enterprises have experienced an impressive decline in the cost of bandwidth, the cost of technology and the cost of information. In the same time period, the relative cost of employee performance using these technologies to achieve business goals has increased and is expected to continue to increase in the coming decade.
