Source: Science Publications
Today's Information Technology (IT) has enabled information systems to evolve from 'Simple' data processing into a self-managing system, in a way previously unimagined. A self-managing information system is defined as a system that is able to manage its own information within its operating environment with minimal human intervention. The growth of IT has also offered a wide range of information available in the computing systems environment to be benefited from by the self-managing systems. Therefore, a self-managing system ought to identify and make use of information and resources available in its environment.
