The University of Connecticut (UConn), is well ahead of the of the College Board's, was facing challenges from an aging infrastructure with lack of efficiency and physical space limited. They consolidating the server infrastructure and identified the IBM BladeCenter as the technology that would best meet UConn's challenges. The Mainline recommended two IBM H Center Chassis and 28 HS 22 Blades. VMware was also validated for the virtualization and consolidation of the servers.
