Traffic Scheduling Scheme for Disjoint Multipath Routing Based Wireless Multimedia Sensor Networks
Source: Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers
Recent advances in wireless multimedia sensor networks have led to disjoint multipath routing protocols specifically designed for transmitting large multimedia traffic. Towards the coexistence of different kinds of multimedia traffics, a packet scheduling scheme is proposed for disjoint multipath routing based wireless multimedia sensor networks. The scheme classifies the packets into four classes based on their real-time and reliability requirements and assigns different priorities for them. Non-preemptive queuing model with multiple priorities and routing path condition based traffic scheduling model are presented and employed in traffic scheduling algorithm.
