Trend Micro Reduces Licensing Costs by 30 Percent, Gains Faster Procurement
Trend Micro has been helping organizations protect IT resources from viruses, malicious software, spam, data leaks, and other security threats since 1988. The Tokyo-based company, which generates over U.S.$1 billion in annual revenue, has 4,000 employees, serving customers in more than 50 countries. Trend Micro creates its solutions using Microsoft Visual Studio Team System and the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5; and uses Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Enterprise to support its IT infrastructure, including its cloud-based Smart Protection Network, a next-generation cloud-client solution. Needing a more efficient way to deploy its licensing of Microsoft products, Trend Micro took advantage of the Microsoft Volume Licensing Enrollment for Application Platform (EAP) program.
