Trust, Confidence And Organizational Brain Disorder Or how Trust Boosts The Bottom Line
Source: Theo Compernolle
THE LACK OF TRUST and confidence in and within organizations is the primary symptom of "Organizational Brain Disorder", a horrible disease that affects many organizations. In some companies, up to 70% of employees do not trust senior management and up to 60% think their own superiors lie to them. Other symptoms include: no time to think; stupid errors; multiple accidents and incidents; a lack of creativity and learning; underperformance; low motivation; high staff turnover; low quality products and services; low employee and customer satisfaction; low morale; poor collaboration; low acceptance of and commitment to change; high absenteeism; high negative stress; and low profits, not to mention the dreaded BAHD (Brainworkers' Attention and Hyperactivity Disorder) and MAHD (Managers' Attention and Hyperactivity Disorder).
