University Builds Universal Access With Learning Portal

Ma Chung University, a recently established Indonesian tertiary institution, wanted a digital gateway to facilitate state-of-the-art eLearning and resource sharing among its administration and teaching staff. Its goal was to have a single, easy-to-use, customizable information gateway. It decided to deploy Microsoft Learning Gateway with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 as the underpinning technology. The deployment, rolled out with the help of partner PT NetTrain Informatika, allows teachers and staff to upload and share information onto a centralized repository. This facilitates student collaboration, speeds up the dissemination of important news, and improves information sharing across the university.
