University Improves Research and Saves 30 Per Cent of Budget With a High-Performance Computing Cluster
Source: Dell
The department of physics at University Alexandru Ioan Cuza of Iasi was looking for a cost-effective way to build a supercomputer that was powerful enough to run complex mathematical research simulation and give researchers the opportunity to join European research on magnetic fields. Building a computing cluster with Dell PowerEdge 2950 and 1950 servers provided a high-performance supercomputer that cost 30 per cent less than other solutions.
