US Oncology, Inc. wanted to improve the company's ability to support patients throughout their treatment and improve outcomes through education, advice, and monitoring and reduce the need for avoidable emergency room visits and hospitalizations and the associated risk and costs through improved interaction with patients. The challenge was to strengthen the company's ability to set up and service reimbursement-support and Patient-Assistance Programs (PAPs). US Oncology, Inc. selected Oracle's Siebel applications to create an integrated patient management system that supports improved outcomes and operational efficiency, as well as cost-control initiatives.
