Digital identity is at the heart of many contemporary strategic innovations, ranging from crime, internal and external security, business models etc. This requires disclosing personal information within ubiquitous environment. These raise serious security concerns and discomfort to users and creates the needs of a user centred Identity Management (IM) within ubiquitous environments. The authors propose a framework for User-Centred IM in Mobile Ad-hoc NETworks (MANETs) that creates a balance between convenience and privacy as well as giving users the control over their identities.
