Wireless Video Sensor Networks (WVSN) can retrieve video/images from environment of interest, which can greatly enhance the people knowledge of the physical world and pave the way for new applications. Since video signal is sensitive to temporal differences between sensor nodes and sink nodes, time synchronization is a critical service for WVSN. However, the existing Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) time synchronization protocols cannot fulfill WVSN's new synchronization requirements. In this paper, a new time synchronization technique, V-Square, is proposed. Compared with existing WSN time synchronization protocols, V-Square can reduce error in estimations on local clock parameters with very low communication and computation overhead.
