Valero: Reducing Energy Usage and Costs

Leading oil refiner Valero Energy Corporation used a distributed network of the SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence application at its many refineries to gain greater visibility into operations such as safety, energy usage, unit performance, and inventory. This real-time view helped Valero realize benefits that include better optimization of refinery operations and US$120 million in energy savings in the first year alone.
