Open source version control system with Subversion is designed to manage Oracle JDeveloper 11g projects. Version control system has been used for many development projects and is designed to provide benefits to single users as well as teams. It allows retrieval of files, documents, and images easily. This paper talks about creating repository for using Subversion in a single-user environment. Repository is created to store the revisions of the applications. The central location that is used by Subversion to store files is called a repository. The files that have been brought back from the repository to user' local machine for modification is called a working copy or the local copy. Checking out is the process of attaining a working copy from the repository. Repository is created using the support provided by Oracle JDeveloper with the help of HTTP/HTTPS protocols, using Apache. The Subversion software, Apache, and modules need to be installed and configured for creating repository. The Subversion and Apache HTTP server can be installed separately and the command-line repository administration tools can be used to create repository using the VisualSVN Server. It is easy to install this solution. Oracle JDeveloper features GUI interface that is used to import applications to the new repository. This paper is a step-wise study written in detail explaining all the steps required for creating repository with reliable data and figures.
