Viessmann: How Service Oriented Architecture Produces Hot Results for a Growing Business
Viessmann IT Service GmbH wanted to share common business information throughout the company, standardize business processes by using centralized applications and enable access to business systems for customers, business partners, suppliers, distributors and internal staff regardless of location. The challenge was to reduce the costs of supporting multiple applications in each country and simplify IT infrastructure, increase flexibility, and speed up time-to-market for new services. IBM and c.a.r.u.s. worked with Viessmann to introduce a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) using the existing IBM Power Systems server landscape.
