Virginia DMV Enhances Decisions, Boosts Safety, Through Integration With Other Agencies
Source: Microsoft
The Commonwealth of Virginia's Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) wanted to see its data better used to help reduce the number and severity of traffic accidents in the state. But that idea required integrating its computer system with databases at other state agencies - and the department's aging mainframe couldn't do that. So, the department created a custom solution based on the Microsoft Connected Government Framework to integrate its data with third-party and custom software data provided by both the Department of Transportation and the Virginia State Police.
