Virtualizing With XenServer and NetApp

Mine Safety Appliances (MSA) is a leading manufacturer of sophisticated safety products. Like many companies, over the last year they have been moving forward aggressively with server virtualization and storage consolidation so that they can better support the engineering, manufacturing, and business needs. To do this they deployed a combination of Citrix XenServer and NetApp storage using NFS. Now they grew more comfortable with the NetApp system, they began leveraging it for other storage as well, including the CIFS shares. This allowed eliminating two Windows clusters.
