VMware Case Study: Rochester Institute of Technology

Founded in 1829, New York's Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), with an enrollment of more than 15,000 students, is known for its professional, science and technology programs. The Department of Networking, Security and Systems Administration at Rochester Institute of Technology needed a way to provide its computer science students secure remote access to multiple virtual operating environments for distance learning. The Department chose VMware Workstation to create multiple operating environments on virtual machines so that students can create their own virtual local area networks.
