VMware Case Study: Threadneedle

Threadneedle is an award-winning global asset manager, providing investment solutions to institutional and retail clients across the globe. It actively manages £59bn of assets (as at December 2009) from equities and bonds to property and alternative investments. Threadneedle wanted to reduce datacenter costs and improve business continuity and disaster recovery processes. The challenge was to maintain high availability and security of key applications and improve application delivery to end users. Threadneedle deployed VMware Infrastructure which consolidates server estate and provides high availability for applications and VMware View enhances desktop application and remote IT delivery.
