VMware VMotion Performance on the Dell PowerEdge 1955 Blade Server
Source: Dell
The purpose of this paper is to quantify the impact on typical VMware operations of having just two network connections available for each ESX Server host running on a set of PowerEdge 1955 blades. ESX was configured on each blade so that the ESX Service Console and the VMotion traffic use one NIC and the second NIC is used for the network traffic of the VMs running on the blades.
