Web Services for Optimal Clinical Support Systems

Internet and Service Oriented Computing are considered as the higher expression of the software community revolution and Web Services are seen as one of their concrete realization. Web becomes a system in which different services (not only information) are offered to users. The authors describe a web service application for supporting in real time doctors and diabetic patients, combining some Optimization algorithms and techniques with software technologies. In a World in which all seems to be linked to each other, it becomes very important to define a standard able to describe (at a higher level) a set of principles and functionalities for guaranteeing to different devices access to heterogeneous data.
