This paper talks about Accessible Global Positioning System (GPS) technology that is emerging rapidly with the change in today's time. With the change in trend, this technology is now offered with various features including way finding tool that makes it suitable to be used for people with disabilities. Discussed in this paper is Global Positioning System which is widely known as GPS technology that is a basic navigation tool designed to be used for daily living tasks as map-finding systems. This paper discusses GPS component as navigation support or way finding tool weighing down its features and benefits. It examines various issues and details about Accessible GPS technology and how it can be used in daily life. This paper has different perspectives about accessible GPS. Accessible GPS can be used as an independent way finding tool for people with visual disability. It also talks about evaluations, suggestions, funding, and training available for accessible GPS to be more accessible to visually disabled people. Accessible GPS provides information and support to immobilized people using tools such as audio, magnification, and Braille display. This paper also talks about types of GPS systems that are available with various tools, features, and benefits. The addition of an accessible GPS component that provides navigational support or way finding is the focus of this paper.
