Dell consultants wanted to integrate multiple packaged and custom systems spread across the globe, develop the ability to reuse project code, and take advantage of best practices from previously successful projects. The Dell IT team created a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) infrastructure and used the Oracle Fusion Middleware and Oracle Application Integration Architecture (AIA) Foundation Pack to accelerate the integration of applications using loosely coupled Web services.
