Historically, Internet sites were built for external users to consume passive content. Now, there is an added ability for internal contributors to provide managed content. In this podcast, speakers speak customer cases studies of Internet sites, extranets, and communities, and they explain how the X design pattern provides the ability for internal users and external Web users to act as both contributors and consumers. The key to this functionality is the layer in the middle where information and the process flow can be managed in both directions, mashed-up, manipulated, and analyzed. They introduce people to the CorasWorks Solution for Internet Sites, which is a packaged solution that extends Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2010 to enable organizations to accomplish this without requiring custom code development.
