Last week I downloaded Windows Vista RC2 and loaded it to see the differences from the RC1 build. The install went very smoothly and all of my drivers were recognized immediately. The installation was a piece of cake. Any grandma could install Windows Vista. After loading the release, I immediately created a standard user account and was able to load all of my programs as a standard user. Whenever Vista needed Admin access, I was prompted and the installation continued without flaws.

I was also able to load Virtual PC 2007 on Windows Vista and run my Windows XP system that I imaged in a virtual machine. I now have the best of both worlds. Windows Vista and Windows XP loaded on the same box. I put together a Windows Vista gallery that includes 60 screenshots of Microsoft’s latest build. Check it out!
