As head of ICT at Leeds City Council, Dylan Roberts leads 345 IT professionals delivering operational services and IT capital programmes.
Roberts is also responsible for the development of IT-enabled business strategies. Dylan has been recognised, by awards, for the transformation of ICT service in Leeds into an example that others can learn from through a continued emphasis on delivering business value and outcomes rather than just technology.
Roberts, who has been at Leeds Council since 2003, is on the Local Government National CIO Council, is the Yorkshire and Humber regional executive of Socitm and chairs the West Yorkshire CIO group.
He has more than 20 years of experience in public sector IT and holds an MBA qualification. Prior to joining Leeds City Council, he was head of IT at Denbighshire County Council.
In his spare time, Dylan travels to Wales to manage and coach the New Brighton Villa men’s football team, which competes in the Welsh National League Division 1, something he’s been doing for 10 years.
