Jos Creese is the head of IT at Hampshire County Council, where he also contributes to a number of business transformation projects for the local authority.

Key programmes he contributed to last year included a county wide shared service public service network programme and a range of technology enabled programmes to support new ways of working, including the award winning headquarters building.

His responsibilities also include providing IT services to several hundred other public sector organisations.

Creese has more than 20 years’ experience of IT management, and has been with Hampshire County Council for most of this period, bar a spell at Southampton City Council in the late 1990s.

He serves as chairman of the Local Public Service CIO Council and is president of the Society of IT Managers, as well as being a member of the Government CIO Council.
