Yasmin Jetha was appointed CIO of Bupa in October 2009.

Before joining Bupa, Jetha held the role of chief operating officer at the Financial Times where she was responsible for IT services, as well as procurement and purchasing functions.

While at the FT, Jetha made her debut in the silicon.com CIO50 list in 2008.

Prior to this, Jetha was a member of the board at Abbey National – now part of Santander bank.

In addition, Jetha is a non executive director of Nation Media Group, and vice chair of the University of Bedfordshire’s governing body.

Jetha holds a BSc in Mathematics from London University, and MSc in Management Science from Imperial College, London.

She is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, and in 2005 she was awarded an honorary degree of Doctor of Laws from University of Leicester.
