Job Title : CIO
Organization : Lloyds Bank
Darryl West makes his second appearance on the CIO50 – his first, back in 2008, saw him listed as the group CIO of Lloyds Banking Group, a position he continues to hold.
In that time, West has been responsible for tackling the IT integration after Lloyds acquired HBOS in 2009, thought to be one of the largest such projects in the industry.
West was appointed to his current role in 2005, a year after joining the banking group.
Before that, he held a number of roles that involved financial services, including consultancy with Arthur Andersen, as well as spending time working for National Australia Group (Europe) and JP Morgan Chase.
He holds degrees in commerce and computer science from Deakin University in Australia and is a member of the Australian Institute of Chartered Accountants.
