David Norton looks after systems and technology in more than 70 countries worldwide for international advertising agency Lowe and Partners.
During Norton's three years as CIO at Lowe, he has restructured the IT organisation, capturing the department's activities and costs to understand its state and future requirements.
Under Norton, the department has begun centralising services, consolidating and cutting infrastructure to create a standard operating environment, as well as deploying enterprise applications such as SAP and PeopleSoft.
His work on building inhouse digital capabilities, focused on improved internal portals and apps for collaboration with clients, has helped generate revenue and foster closer business relationships.
He has also promoted the use of social tools and unified communications, as the workforce becomes more mobile and increases its use of social-media platforms.
During his 28-year career, Norton has worked at some of the largest and most successful agency networks, including McCann-Erickson, Bates and Saatchi & Saatchi - where he has managed teams spread across the globe.
A married man with four sons, Norton enjoys spending time with his wife and four sons at their home in Surrey, England, as well as getting out on the golf course.
