During more than 20 years in government IT, Noelle Godfrey has shaped IT strategy and overseen large-scale technology-led business transformations.
Godfrey is head of IT at Cambridgeshire County Council, where she is helping to streamline public service delivery. She has played a role in changing the way services are delivered to support integrated health and social-care teams, as well as the sharing of back-office services between Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire county councils.
Her role has also seen her take the lead on establishing the Cambridgeshire Public Services Network to provide IT connectivity and related services to a number of local authorities and fire authorities in the region, as well as to the voluntary and community sector in Cambridgeshire.
Godfrey is also project director for a scheme to roll out superfast broadband to Cambridge and Peterborough, the Connecting Cambridgeshire programme.
