I am currently attending the 9th annual Citrix iForum in sunny Florida. The venue is being held at the Dolphin and Swan hotel on Disney Property. I arrived yesterday and checked into the hotel which by the way is very beautiful and close to all of Orlando’s wonderful attractions.
After checking into the hotel and the conference, I wanted to share with you the contents of my bag. They have included great stuff in the bag and the bag itself is really hip. It is the first bag that I have seen in awhile that is actually useful and cool at the same time. I took over 1 of the 2 couches in the press room to build my bag display. Please take a look at my gallery and let me know what you think of the bag.
Last night I attended the Welcome Reception at the Expo Hall and learned a great deal about Citrix and thin client architecture. Products such as JackPC and VXL were very interesting and I spent several hours talking with vendors and colleagues. I spent a good amount of time learning about Citrix’s application and desktop virtualization. I don’t really know much about it and I am very intrigued. Speaking of virtualization, I was able to speak with XenSource about their Enterprise products. I am looking forward to getting my hands on some beta Enterprise products.
Today I plan on attending the following sessions:
- Maximizing your Remote Access Infrastructure with Citrix GoToMyPC Corporate
- Next Release of Citrix Presentation Server Technology Preview
- Constellation-The Future of Application Virtualization from Citrix
- Application Delivery to your Desktops-Lowering Maintenance Cost
At 4:30 I will be attending a technology lab tour of Citrix’s products. I am really looking forward to this. It is always great to see the products in action.
