This afternoon, I’m heading out to Interop Las Vegas 2007. Interop has gotten huge, with over 20,000 attendees and 450 vendors. It’s essentially become the Comdex of business technology (while CES has taken up the Comdex legacy for consumer tech). Because of the size of Interop, a lot of vendors save up product launches and new announcements for the conference, so I will be reporting on the latest buzz throughout the week.

I also have individual meetings with the companies that have new products or new developments that I think will be of special interest to TechRepublic readers. Plus, I’ll be connecting with a few industry experts who have some relevant insights to share on the state of enterprise IT.

The five main topic tracks at the conference are:

  • Data center
  • VoIP and collaboration
  • Infrastructure and services
  • Wireless and mobility
  • Security

You can read more about what’s happening at Interop Las Vegas and let me know if there’s a topic or vendor that you’re particularly interested in hearing about by posting in the discussion or sending me a private message. If you’re going to be at Interop Las Vegas, feel free to flag me down to chat in person.
