Wasting no time after its $76 million acquisition of Berkeley Data Systems’ online Mozy backup technology, EMC has unveiled MozyEnterprise. As its name suggests, MozyEnterprise is targeted at large enterprises and will be offered with its EMC Fortress data storage platform.

Excerpt from InformationWeek:

EMC announced MozyEnterprise under the umbrella of its software-as-a-service (SaaS) strategy. “Our strategy is focused on bringing new software-as-a-service offerings to market,” said Tom Heiser, senior VP and general manager of EMC’s SaaS Business Unit, in a statement. “We’ve introduced EMC Fortress, a secure, multitenant, scalable SaaS delivery platform providing customers with centralized billing, management, and metering.”

To ensure that it succeeds, EMC has signed up key resellers with the clout in enterprise markets such as Verizon Business, eFile Cabinet, FusionStorm, and TelX.
