If you uncover a questionable fact or debatable aspect of this week’s Geek Trivia, just post it in the discussion area of the article. Every week, yours truly will choose the best quibble from our assembled masses and discuss it in a future edition of Geek Trivia.

This week’s quibble comes from the Dec. 16, 2008 edition of Geek Trivia, “Works of speculative friction.” TechRepublic member WeirdBeard took issue with my accounting of the entries in the Terminator movie franchise:

“You wrote, ‘…thrice-sequeled time-traveling cyborg assassin flick…’ referring to the Terminator films. I believe there are only three films so there are only two sequels, or are you counting The Sarah Connor Chronicles?”

TechRepublic member peter.balfe leapt to my defense before I could answer:

Terminator: Salvation is going to be the 4th film in the franchise out next year [2009]. Thus it is indeed thrice-sequeled.”

I was doing a little looking into the future with the sequel count, which is a dangerous habit within the Terminator universe. Next time I’ll be more explicit. Thanks for the quibble, and keep them coming!
