By default, Access 2007 automatically displays a date picker for date/time fields in a form and in datasheet view.

But there may be times you don’t need the date picker to displayed, such as when the field is calculated through an expression or VBA code. One approach is to turn off the field’s Enabled property. You can also turn off the display of the date picker by following these steps:

  1. Open the form in Design view.
  2. Right-click the field’s control and select Properties.
  3. Click the Format tab.
  4. Click the drop-down arrow in the Show Date Picker property box and select Never.
