The consultancy company led by the software pioneer, Ivar Jacobson, announced overnight it has finalised the acquisition of the consultancy arm of Crag Solutions Pty Ltd.

The consultancy company led by the software pioneer, Ivar Jacobson, announced overnight it has finalised the acquisition of the consultancy arm of Crag Solutions Pty Ltd.

In a bid to rapidly grow Ivar Jacobson International's (IJI) customer base in Australia the company have acquired the services division of Crag Solutions Pty Ltd, who are based in Melbourne.

"Asia Pacific is a market under development for our company. The acquisition of Crag Solutions's consultancy division will help speed up the development of our company in this region and will bring our practice-centric approach to software development organisations throughout southern Australia." said Chris Littlejohns, CEO of Ivar Jacobson International, in a press release issued by the company.

Ivar Jacobson is one of the "Three Amigos" who co-designed the Unified Modeling Language(UML) along with Grady Booch and Jim Rumbaugh. He also invented use cases as a way to specify functional software requirements, and was the original author of the Rational Unified Process.
